We have available information that will assist you in tracing noise and interference radiated from electric motors. It deals with TVI and RFI a subject which is becoming more and more important.

Noise can radiate back down the appliances leads into the mains socket along the wires to other appliances plugged into the mains such as radios and TV's.

Higher frequencies will radiate away from the appliance leads which then act as aerials these interfere with TV sets.
Depending on the frequency of the noise emitted specific components are sometimes fitted to reduce this noise and or eliminate it. In some cases it may require a brush grade change.
